Smart Glasses like Google-lens by Xiaomi is released

Xiaomi Smart Glasses

In the tech industry, things move quickly. What existed a decade ago has been refurbished several times under the guise of providing users with a more seamless experience than before. Here Xiaomi has released a new smart glass that can contribute vital information such as notifications, navigation, and live translation.

What Xiaomi Smart glasses include

Xiaomi Smart Glasses include imaging technology and sensors as well as MicroLED optical waveguide technology. The 51g glasses can represent messages and notifications, make calls, navigate, capture photos, and translate text.

The company used MicroLEDs to furnish the imaging technology into the frame. MicroLEDs, like OLEDs, have independently lit pixels; the emissive feature produces brighter displays and deeper blacks.

The display chip in Xiaomi Smart Glasses is only 2.4mm x 2.02mm in size. The display is roughly the size of a grain of rice under a microscope, with individual pixels measuring 4m. Allows fitting perfectly within the frame of the glasses. To enable light to pass over-complicated optical structures. Xiaomi chose a monochrome display solution with a peak brightness of 2 million nits.

The MicroLED display accurately transmits light beams to the human eye via the microscopic grating structure of the optical waveguide lens by using optical waveguide technology that refracts lights at 180°.

The grating structure engraved into the lens’s inner surface enables light to be refracted and delivered into the human eye. The refraction method includes repeatedly bouncing light beams, letting the human eye see a complete image.

Xiaomi Smart Glasses cover 497 elements entirety, including miniature sensors and communication modules.

In addition to notification, call display, and so on, it also performs functions such as navigation, photo-taking, teleprompter, and real-time text and photo translations on its own.

The front-facing 5MP camera on the glasses can capture photos and change them into text. Xiaomi claims that the Smart Glasses can transcribe audio into text with translations in real-time by utilizing the built-in microphone and proprietary translating algorithm.

Availability and Price

Xiaomi intends smart glasses to function as a standalone device rather than a secondary display for your smartphone. However, Xiaomi has not disclosed the price and availability of the new smart glasses.
